Joanna Yu, Schulich MBA 2022, is an entertainer and musician turned an entrepreneur. She came to U.S. six years ago to pursue a bachelor’s degree in math and music at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. During her time as a student, she composed a number of songs with the producer of “The Voice” in China that went viral on Chinese social media. She was a founder and CEO of Humm.ly, which is the first award-winning music and wellness platform that implements music therapy techniques and interactive technologies in mindfulness and physical practices. The app was featured and selected by Apple as "App of the Day" and "Apps We Love" in the U.S. and other countries. She moved to Toronto in 2019. Driven by her entrepreneurship spirit, she is planning launch new music wellness app – Easetune, with her new co-founders in Canada.
Steven Wang,becomes a software development engineer since he graduated as a Master of Information system back to 1993. He also is a series of entrepreneur at IT and Technology sector for over 15 years, achieving a proud and excellence career development path. From 1998 to 2010, he founded his first company – Shanghai Wang Wei Technology Company. As a co-founder, he led the entire company’s technology and software development across various industry. From 2010 -2027, he was two information & technology companies’ the director of software product and development, focusing on mobile apps development, large scale of client information system platform and CRM system. Since 2020, he has built up another new technology Startup (Qin Wei) company, mainly focusing on gaming technology development, online & mobile application development. He will lead Easetune’s entire company information technology and application platform development.
Alan Tian, a young, energetic and music passionist, who is major in World Culture and Literature, specialized in Germanic studies and Slavic studies and fluent in four languages (English, German, French and Manderin). He will graduate from University of Ottawa June 2022. As an Arts student, I’ve always had my interest in Music, especially acoustic music and classical music. Part of the reason is I was a performer once upon the time performing Johnny Cash on the stage. Alan is a music wellness application heavy user during his academic study in Canada. It was quite successful in the way of dealing with pressures and clamming you down Inspired by Easetune founder, Joanna Yu’s vision of creating a new music-wellness application to bring more impacts to the music community. He joins the company as a Marketing and Community Engagement Director and responsible for marketing communication and keep promoting music wellness functions and apps through Easetune global community by leveraging his music, marketing passions and talented languages.
Lucien Yan, major in economic, graduated from NYU 2021. Currently he is a paralegal at one of NY law firms. I support company lawyers to provide investigation, dual diligence and legal document preparation, mainly focusing on clients’ business project, investment and lawsuits. Meanwhile, he also help entrepreneurs sourcing investment fund, potential investors and strategic partnership development for various projects. Being an entrepreneur in North America is his dream and passion, Canada’s entrepreneurship ecosystem attract him to move from the U.S. to Toronto, being a key member of Easeture venture journey. He looks after business development of corporate clients in both North America and Aisa market, as well as strategic business partnership across various sectors to enhance Easetune’s market position.
